Sixteen men had just made a decision to accept Jesus into their lives.
During our preceding lunch break, a man named Art sat down across the table
from me and began to share his heart. Here is a paraphrase of his testimony
from that day:
I knew God, but many years ago I walked away from Him. I had no idea why I
was drawn to this event. I did not want to come. Then it hit me...when you
had us write down our name in order to complete that four word sentence, I
LOVE YOU ART. It was something that I had always been told, that God loves
me, but I had never truly accepted it. Now that I have, I will never be the
same. There is something powerful about seeing it on paper. It's like God
was writing me a personal letter.
This is just one powerful testimony pulled from a month that saw over eighty
precious souls enter the kingdom of heaven! It all started with a "Men On
Target" retreat at Tri-Lakes Chapel (a local Colorado church). Just under
100 men attended, and ten were saved. Several attendees have encouraged us
by communicating their appreciation and gratitude for our message.
The next weekend I set out to Edmonton, Alberta to conduct a "Pastor's On
Target" event for Promise Keepers Canada. It was a powerful time, one that
I pray God used to strengthen the life and momentum of many ministries. On
the following Sunday, I was invited to be a guest speaker at Vegreville
Pentecostal Church, where another seven men and women made first time
decisions for Christ.
My final venture was to Cornerstone Church in St. Cloud, FL. The testimony
above was taken from this "Men On Target" event. Sixteen men accepted the
Lord during the seminar. Then, on the following Sunday, I spoke to the
entire congregation (a crowd of almost 1,000) and fifty others responded.
What an impactful month! Each of our events is so unique, convincing me that
we serve a creative God with a supernatural schedule. His handiwork never
ceases to amaze me. The testimonies continue to pour in from event to
event, encouraging our hearts and brightening our lives.
God has been good to On Target Ministries, sustaining our efforts through
His provision and faithfulness. And we know that much of this is do to your
commitment to us, whether that be financial or spiritual. We strongly
believe that God honors the prayers of His people!
Before closing, we are excited to announce that our new book, "Wired to
Work" is scheduled for release this coming July. Per our publishing
contract, we will be required to purchase a $12,000 supply of this book at
the time of publication. We are hoping to pay $6,000 within the next 30
days and the balance at the time of delivery. Please pray that we can raise
the necessary funds. We are trusting God for it all!
You may also be interested to know that ALL "Wired to Work" royalties will
directly benefit On Target Ministries. I will receive no personal income
from the sale of this book. The ministry will make two dollars for every
one dollar sold. We are hoping that this project will not only touch lives,
but continue to further our outreach. Let's join together and believe for a
