Newsletter - April , 2001
Spring has sprung! We were ushered into the dawn of the season with six
speaking engagements, each one exciting and spirit filled. I am thrilled to
have this opportunity to share my experiences with you.
My first event was held locally at Monument Hill Church, just a five minute
drive from home. I was asked to deliver the Sunday morning message. I gave
my testimony to an intimate congregation and ten men and women were saved.
My next engagement took me to Moorseville, NC. Mooresville First Baptist
Church invited me to come and speak to their men's group. I delivered my
testimony to over 200 men. It was a powerful time of fellowship. On Sunday
morning, I took the pulpit at First Assembly of God, a neighboring church.
Eighty attended the small gathering and one new soul entered the kingdom!
While still in North Carolina, I joined the "National Coalition's 2001
National Leader's Meeting" in Asheville. This year we assembled at "The
Cove" (Billy Graham's training center). This meeting is conducted annually,
and is always a time of refreshment, ministry building and growth. My
involvement as a member of the NCMM Steering Committee has been such a
blessing.
Just a few days after my return from NC, I found myself on another plane,
this time I was bound for Los Angeles, CA. The trip was a nice mix of both
ministry and pleasure. Cindy, my eldest daughter Kimberly and grandson
Parker were all in town, making it a fun time of fellowship with family and
old friends.
During the week I participated in the "West Coast Leader's Summit" at
Crystal Cathedral. I was asked to lead a workshop and plenary session at
the event. What an honor it was to be a part of this significant gathering.
The following Sunday, at the request of Pastor Scott Bauer, I spoke to "New
Men, Inc.", the men's ministry at The Church On The Way. It is always a
thrill to return to my home church, a place that has so inspired me over the
years, and matured my walk with the Lord. Several hundred men attended that
evening for a rejuvenating time of fellowship and sharing.
My final event took place in Prescott, AZ. As a member of Man In The Mirror
's teaching faculty, I conducted a men's retreat entitled, "The Seven
Seasons of a Man's Life." Our host was Word of Grace Church, a large
interdenominational church in Mesa, AZ. We had an incredible response, with
an attendance of 175 men, 22 of which made first time decisions by the end
of the weekend.
We are so thankful for all that God is doing! Please continue to pray for us
in the days ahead as we desire a full schedule, and an outreach that
continues to thrive in our Father's power. We have placed our trust in Him
for the summer months, believing that He will provide for our every need.
Thank you for standing with us!
May the Lord bless you in abundance,
